I thought the ending of the episode was a bit anti-climatic, but I enjoyed the overall premise. That's "proof" enough to most people that you're better than others. No one questions it, because why would you? The test said so. Frink with testing all of Springfield's residents to determine who is worth saving. Everyone still treats the test as undeniable proof that they're smarter than someone else (Homer, in this case). Fearing that the end of the world is near, Mr. Homer's dumb, but he's not an idiot, and the only person who actually cared was Marge. When Lisa confronted Frink over Ralph's high score, Frink just dismissed it and offered to fudge the score because, again, the test doesn't mean anything, and no one wants to admit it. Homer tweeted his low score to everyone and everyone started treating him like a complete idiot. Lisa found out she scored less than Ralph and had a complete panic attack, and it turned out that Ralph scored that high on a fluke, because he was lucky. And when you try to point out that IQ tests don't mean anything, they become incredibly defensive because they seriously can't handle the idea that they aren't better than everyone else. Burns and be his slaves Enter Professor Frink with a surprise musical number about the Personal Value Questionnaire (PVQ), which will determine more than who the most intelligent members of Springfield are but, the most valuable. When he tests the town for worthiness, Marge is dismayed when Bart comes out on the bottom. The only problem is, who are the brightest and most worthy in town to join Mr. Yet, people treat them as some sort of divine scripture, that if you somehow score high on an IQ test you're better than everyone else. The Simpsons - Season 29: Frink Gets Testy - Burns fears the end of the world and builds a cosmic ark. IQ tests, no matter what you count, are complete bunk IQ tests are basically those "which character are you" quizzes you find on Facebook, generated by pretentious dickwads to help feed the superiority complex of other pretentious dickwads. The episode really hit something I've argued about on Reddit before, which was that, surprise, you can't boil "intelligence" or "usefulness" down to a number and pretend it actually means something. I thought that was the point it was just another IQ test.
